HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training - an extreme combination of intense, and less intense, exercise. HIIT requires maximum effort – or as close to maximum as possible. Why this is awesome is because after the intense burst the body actually runs out of oxygen and has to switch from normal ‘aerobic’ respiration to ‘anaerobic’ respiration to repay 'oxygen debt'. Essentially the body has to keep working after the HIIT finishes, meaning more calories burned and you've got an exercise that is super effective and time efficient.
HIIB® is High Intensity Interval BOXING - all the benefits of HIIT combined with boxing-centric drills that are not only remarkably challenging and effective but wicked fun. Think of it this way, in a fight boxer's don’t literally punch each other non-stop until the bell rings. They move around, shifting weight and adjusting their upper and lower body at the same and different times. They stop, start, throw punches, combinations of punches, use evasive or defensive manoeuvres and bouncing around on their toes, all while drawing from serious core strength. Boxing, therefore by definition, is the original HIIT workout.
HIIB® uses many different boxing-centric aerobic and anaerobic exercises to improve aerobic capacity, increasing endurance strength and quick-fire muscle power while dramatically helping to reduce weight, get toned and shred like a champ.
